Odoo connectors: your shop and Odoo always in sync

PrestaShop, Shopify, WooCommerce, accounting software or any documented API: products, prices, stock, orders and customers kept in sync with Odoo, with an error log you can read.

Connectors

The connectors we are asked for most

When an existing connector fits, we install and configure it. Otherwise we adapt it or develop a new one.

PrestaShop and Odoo

Products and stock leave Odoo, orders and customers arrive in Odoo, and the order status goes back to the shop.

Shopify and Odoo

Shopify keeps the storefront and the checkout; Odoo handles stock, purchasing, invoicing and accounting.

WooCommerce and Odoo

Same principle for WordPress shops: catalogue and stock from Odoo, orders and customers to Odoo through the WooCommerce REST API.

Sage and accounting software

When accounting stays outside Odoo, entries are exported in the format your software imports, or as an FEC file.

Banks and payment providers

A payment method is also a connector: we publish many payment modules for French, Belgian and Dutch banks.

Any documented API

Marketplaces, carriers, CRM, EDI: an application with a documented API can be connected to Odoo.

Which connector

Existing Odoo connector or custom development?

Four options, from the quickest to set up to the most specific.

Odoo Store connector

Installed and configured when it covers your flows and is maintained for your version.

Adapted connector

An existing connector completed with your fields, your rules or a missing data type.

Custom connector

Developed in Odoo when no module fits: your API, your rules, our error log.

Odoo development

Zapier or Make

For small, simple flows: a form, a lead, a notification. Not for stock or invoices.

Synchronization

What an Odoo connector synchronizes

For each type of data, we set the direction and the software that is the master.

  • Products, variants and prices
  • Stock per warehouse
  • Orders and their status
  • Customers and addresses
  • Shipments and tracking numbers
  • Invoices, payments and refunds
Odoo vs Shopify

Shopify and Odoo: keep your shop or move it to Odoo eCommerce?

Both work. The right choice depends on your shop, your team and your volumes.

Keep Shopify, connected to Odoo

  • your team keeps the storefront it knows,
  • the Shopify apps and themes stay available,
  • but two subscriptions and a connector to maintain.

Move the shop to Odoo eCommerce

  • one database: no synchronization to monitor,
  • stock, prices and B2B pricelists read live,
  • but the theme and the pages have to be redone.

Before developing

What we decide before building a connector

A connector that works on day one but fails silently a month later costs more than no connector at all.

  • Volumes and frequency: real time, every few minutes or once a night.
  • Identifiers shared by both software: product reference, EAN, customer e-mail.
  • What happens when one side is unavailable: retries and a readable error log.
  • Who is warned when a synchronization fails, and how.
Our method

How we build an Odoo connector

Four steps, from the data map to the monitoring.

  1. Data map

Which data, which direction, which software is the master.

  2. Connector choice

Existing module, adaptation or new development.

  3. Tests with real data

On copies of both software, including errors and duplicates.

  4. Go-live and monitoring

First synchronizations followed, then error log and alerts.

Frequently asked questions about Odoo connectors

Which software is the master of which data?

We decide it for each type of data before writing any code: usually products and stock in Odoo, orders and customers coming from the shop. Most synchronization problems come from this decision, not from the code.

Real time or scheduled synchronization?

It depends on your volumes: real time through webhooks when the other software allows it, otherwise every few minutes or once a night.

What happens when one side is unavailable?

Failed exchanges are retried and listed in an error log readable in Odoo; the right person is warned if an error persists.

Odoo integration

Should we keep our shop or move it to Odoo?

Keeping it with a connector is often the fastest. Moving it to Odoo removes the connector altogether. We compare both for your case.

Odoo e-commerce

Is a connector from the Odoo Store enough?

Often, yes. We check its maintenance, the versions it supports and how it handles errors before recommending it. When it lacks a field or a rule, we adapt it rather than starting from scratch.

Can Zapier or Make replace a connector?

For small volumes and simple flows, yes: a new lead, a form, a notification. For stock, orders and invoices, a connector in Odoo is more reliable and keeps an error log.

How much does an Odoo connector cost?

An existing connector costs its licence plus the configuration. A custom connector depends on the data to synchronize, the volumes and the quality of the other API. We give you a quote after the data map.
