Odoo integration

Odoo integration: all your tools finally connected

Online payment, carriers, banks, online shops, EDI, e-invoicing, business software: we integrate Odoo with your tools through APIs, files or EDI, so that data flows on its own, without re-keying or Excel exports.

  • Exchange log in Odoo
  • Automatic retry on error
  • Community and Enterprise

Why integrate

What changes when Odoo is integrated with your tools

Without integration

  • Orders, payments and parcel tracking are re-keyed by hand.
  • Excel exports travel from one department to another.
  • Typing errors show up at the end of the month.
  • Each tool has its own version of the figures.

With an integration

  • Data reaches Odoo as soon as it exists.
  • One source of truth for sales, stock and accounting.
  • Every exchange is logged and can be replayed.
  • Your team handles exceptions, not data entry.
Scope

What we integrate with Odoo

The services and software our clients connect to Odoo most often, and many others.

Banks and payment providers connected to your Odoo website and invoicing: payment, 3-D Secure, refunds, instalments.

Our payment modules

Carriers

Rates, labels and tracking numbers generated from Odoo when the delivery is validated.

Carrier integration

Banks

Bank statements imported (CAMT, OFX, CSV) or synchronized, then reconciled with your invoices.

Odoo connectors

Business software and APIs

Your business ERP, your CRM or an in-house tool connected through REST, XML-RPC, webhooks or file exchange.

How to integrate Odoo

Odoo integration methods: API, files, EDI

The right method depends on what the other software can do, not on our preferences.

Odoo external API

XML-RPC and JSON-RPC: the other software reads and writes in Odoo with a dedicated user and API key.

REST endpoints and webhooks

Odoo calls the API of the other service, or receives its notifications in real time.

File exchange

CSV, XML or Excel dropped on an SFTP server and processed automatically, for software without an API.

EDI

Orders, dispatch advices and invoices exchanged with retailers and logistics providers.

Existing modules

Standard Odoo, the Odoo Store or the OCA: checked first, before any development.

Our Odoo modules

Zapier, Make, n8n

For simple, low-volume flows: a form, a lead, a notification.

Examples

Other Odoo integrations we are asked for

Beyond payment, carriers and online shops.

  • EDI with retailers
  • Logistics provider or warehouse system (3PL, WMS)
  • Point of sale or till software
  • CRM such as HubSpot or Salesforce
  • Payroll software (export)
  • Approved e-invoicing platform
  • Reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Supplier portals and price lists
Reliability

An integration you can monitor, not one you put up with

Any integration works on day one. What matters is what happens when an external service stops responding.

  • Every exchange is recorded in a log you can read in Odoo.
  • Automatic new attempt when a service does not respond.
  • Alert by e-mail or Odoo activity when an error persists.
  • No duplicates: each record keeps its external identifier.
  • API keys stored in Odoo settings, never in the code.
Our method

How we integrate Odoo with your tools

Four steps, from mapping the data flows to monitoring in production.

  1. Mapping the data flows

Which data, in which direction, how often, and which system wins in case of conflict.

  2. Choosing the solution

Standard Odoo feature, existing module from the Odoo Store or the OCA, or development: we pick the simplest one to maintain.

  3. Development and tests

On the service's test environment (sandbox), with real cases: errors, duplicates, volumes.

  4. Go-live and follow-up

Planned switch-over, monitoring of the first days, then maintenance at each Odoo version.

Frequently asked questions about Odoo integration

What is the difference between an integration and an Odoo connector?

A connector links Odoo to one specific software, such as Shopify or PrestaShop, often with an existing module. Integration covers every exchange between Odoo and your tools, including those for which no module exists.

Our Odoo connectors

Doesn't Odoo already offer these integrations?

Odoo includes many services out of the box: payment providers, carriers, bank synchronization (Enterprise). We always check the standard before proposing a module or a development.

What happens when the external service is down?

Failed exchanges are queued and retried automatically. If the error persists, an alert is sent and the log shows the cause.

Can you integrate a software that has no API?

Yes, through file exchange (CSV, XML, Excel) on an SFTP server or a shared folder, processed automatically by Odoo at regular intervals.

Will my integration survive Odoo upgrades?

Yes, when it is written as a separate module without changing the standard code. We port it to each new version, as we do for our published modules.

Odoo migration

Does Odoo have a REST API?

Odoo's external API works with XML-RPC and JSON-RPC, and gives access to every model. When the other software expects REST endpoints or webhooks, we add dedicated REST endpoints in an Odoo module.

Can Odoo exchange EDI messages with retailers?

Yes. Orders, dispatch advices and invoices are exchanged in the format your partners require, directly or through your EDI provider.

How much does an Odoo integration cost?

It depends on the number of flows, their direction, the volumes and the quality of the API on the other side. An existing module is configured quickly; a custom integration is quoted after the mapping of the data flows.

A tool that doesn't talk to Odoo yet?

Tell us which one and what needs to flow, we reply within 48 hours.
